no. of software needed for a game design?

Nov 2, 2:24AM EDT0

Luca, do you have other social media site, we can check and follow updates?

Nov 1, 10:24PM EDT0

Yea, we are on facebook, just search Neon Knights: 2086

And @Boardtodeathtv for Twitter.

Nov 1, 11:01PM EDT0

I just followed you on twitter. The game is amazing! When did you launch this project?

Nov 1, 11:16PM EDT0

How would you feel if this crowdfunding campaign doesn't meet your expectations?

Oct 31, 3:41PM EDT0

Well, I would feel like I always have with the others who have not reached their goal: Determined! I won't give up and will relaunch it. I believe in the game and will do my best to make it happen. Street Kings was not picked up by any publisher and now it's sold out in Europe with great reviews. Same will happen with Neon Knights. The game will pick up momentum once the reviews start coming out. Board Games are not like Video Games, most people wait for reviews before Pre-ordering or buy day 1. It's a shame really but that is what the board gamers do.

Oct 31, 10:39PM EDT0

Do you think that maybe your idea is just missing a bit of the fun factor?

Oct 31, 2:55PM EDT0

Never, I never publish a game without the Fun factor, it's a game, so it should be fun... Exciting. I find Racing games a lot more fun and exciting over fantasy dungeon crawling... which is more tactical.

Oct 31, 10:36PM EDT0

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Oct 31, 10:03AM EDT0

Hopefully, living in Ireland, running a Gaming Cafe/Bar :)

Oct 31, 10:34PM EDT0

How has your practice changed over time?

Oct 31, 12:19AM EDT0

Practice of... ? Game Design? Has not changed that much really. Simply create, build, playtest, kickstart.

Oct 31, 10:34PM EDT0

What is the best starting point for someone that wants to design a game?

Oct 30, 7:58AM EDT0

First a solid idea and where you want to go with it. Also, play a lot of games and choose your target audience, prototype and test (a lot). Start from there. You do not need any artwork to see if a game works and is fun to play.

Oct 30, 9:23PM EDT0

Have you ever considered selling your idea as a whole to a larger more well-known company and staying on their team?

Oct 29, 8:51AM EDT0

YES! But publishers are scared of Racing Games. Sadly.

Oct 30, 9:20PM EDT0

Where are you from?

Oct 28, 7:57PM EDT0

My parent were Born in Italy and I was born in Canada :)

Oct 30, 9:16PM EDT0

What themes do you pursuit?

Oct 28, 3:49PM EDT0

Racing, I think the market needs more racing games, I am simply trying to fill a hole that I saw as a gamer. I wanted exciting racing games that were very thematic and exciting, like in the real world of Automotive sport.

Oct 30, 9:16PM EDT0

Do you think it is easy to create a character people will love?

Oct 28, 3:42PM EDT0

I don't know, that is why I left that to my Writer and Comic Book artist. I design mostly game mechanics, never really delved into character creation.

Oct 30, 9:14PM EDT0

What is your all time favorite boardgame?

Oct 28, 3:30PM EDT0

I don't really have one, I like a lot of games, but I really enjoy playing big campaign style games like Gloomhaven & Folklore. For party games I love telestration and concept.

Oct 30, 9:13PM EDT0

Are your board games designed for adults and children?

Oct 28, 3:14PM EDT0

I try to keep them for teens and up. I also try to make them Multi-Lingual so that anyone can learn it. My first game was more geared towards family (CarmaRace). Afterwards, I changed my design style to reflect games that I would like to play with friends closer to my age.

Oct 30, 9:10PM EDT0

How difficult it is to design a boardgame?

Oct 28, 3:13PM EDT0

Designing is not complicated at all, but then again when you're trying to do a BIG game like Gloomhaven or the likes, I can't image how much works goes into it. I don't think it's difficult, but it is time-consuming and a lot of work, just not "difficult" work.

Oct 30, 9:07PM EDT0

How different do you feel your concept is compared to anything else out there right now?

Oct 28, 9:34AM EDT0

A lot of racing games are 1 giant race, but in this game, you have a different race track each round. Also, there is an Action Taking element before each race, not to mention the theme and colors of the game. A lot of it has some elements you might see in other games, but when you play it, you instantly feel like this is something fresh and new.

Oct 30, 9:04PM EDT0

How long did it take you to create your games?

Oct 27, 10:25AM EDT1

I started in December 2016, right after Street Kings. Because I do a lot of Video Reviews, I had to take more time working on the game. Playtesting takes up most of the work, but I had a lot of help getting it to where it is now.

Oct 30, 9:02PM EDT0

Can you give some advice to people interested in making their own boardgame?

Oct 27, 5:55AM EDT1

I would start by getting an Idea and visualize the Game as a final product on a store shelf. Then with simple paper, pencil, and eraser start doing a prototype and playtest it for a few weeks. That's how I start.
