What is the basic structure for developing a game?

Nov 10, 10:46AM EST0

1) Planning. Create a detailed description of the game with all its elements.

2) Early development. Creating a "layout" of the game with a worked out functional. (usually a game with minimal visual effects, at this stage the mechanics of the game will be played out)

3) Full development. Creating a full-fledged working version with all visual effects.

4) Testing. Search for errors in the game and their elimination, optimization and final setup.

5) Publish the game. Troubleshooting based on user feedback.

What is “Pixel Art”?

Nov 9, 1:30AM EST0

Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of software, where images are edited on the pixel level. The majority of graphics for 8-bit and 16-bit computers and video game consoles, as well as other limited systems like graphing calculators, is pixel art.

What is a ContentProvider and what is it typically used for?

Nov 8, 10:01AM EST0

The content provider is the shell in which the data is embedded. If your application uses a SQLite database, only your application has access to it. But there are situations when it is desirable to make the data common. The content provider is only used when you want to share data with other applications running on the device. But even if you do not plan to share data now, you can still think about implementing this method just in case.

You can use Intent for a wide range of tasks, but it is most often used to invoke another Activation or Service.

What tools do App Dev novices should have at hand?

Nov 6, 6:14AM EST0

It all depends on what they are going to do. If this is a game, then it is necessary to work in Unity3D, a graphics editor or in photoshop (for example, Gimp or Adobe Photoshop) and in a programming environment (I would advise Visual Studio 2017). If this is not a game, it will require an Android Studio in it has all the necessary minimum. Of course it is not possible to develop without the knowledge of programming.

Very much depends on the scope of the project.

How can educators and universities get involved in game development?

Nov 4, 2:38AM EDT0

It is difficult to answer this question, except that some specialized courses on developing games can help. If course if the university learn programming, It will positively affect the development.

Would you say that perhaps people need to see your idea from a new or different perspective?

Nov 3, 8:04PM EDT0

Perhaps I'm trying to convey the idea of the game as something new and not just another boring game.
